For wind and wave forecasts we get the best results with the US Navy Only rarely, with very long range swells do they seem to be occasionally a little bit off.
Local wind in Fuerteventura is very hard to predict. Sometimes local effects or the proximity to the Sahara mix into the trade wind pattern and everything goes crazy. You can sometimes find onshore winds all round the island. Occasionally things work in our favour and we get east wind days at Majanicho, when the rest of the beaches are calm.

The weather maps in Canarias7 and other local papers can also be very handy when trying to get an overall impression of the weather situation.
