Shaperoom Board Specifications
Boards are made with Clark or Bennet foam or polystyrene, or our Northshore speciality, vacuum sandwich construction. This includes exotic materials like dyneema, kevlar, carbon saturated with epoxy resins. In this way we can control the flex of the board and with weights from 2 kilos guarantee a nice sensitive feeling.

In comparison with traditional Clark or Bennet foam construction boards there are a few drawbacks:

• The higher price
• Once the outer skin is heavily damaged it can soak water
• Much more sensitive to high temperatures

There are, however, some great advantages:

• The board is way lighter with a skin that is much more resistant to damage (some boards have been in use for 5 yrs and still look new!)
• A lighter board means better performance
